Karier

Jeon Do Yeon memulai karinya sebagai model pada tahun 1990. Ia pernah menjadi model untuk produk Johnson & Johnson.

Kemudian ia mencoba untuk merambah ke dunia akting. Dua tahun berikutnya, ia debut melalui drama Our Heaven.

Sejak saat itu, ia tampil di beberapa drama namun tak terlalu dikenal. Hingga tahun 1997, ia debut film berjudul The Contact.

Namanya pun mulai dikenal kareba penampilannya dan popularitas film yang ia bintangi. Ia pun mendapatkan banyak peran setelah itu.

Ia muncul dalam beberapa film berjudul A Promise (1998), The Harmonium in My Memory (1999), dan Untold Scandal (2003).

Pada tahun 2005, ia kembali memecahkan rekor melalui film You Are My Sunshine. Setelah itu, ia berakting untuk film Secret Sunshine yang membuatnya terkenal di kancah internasional.

Ia berhasil mendapatkan penghargaan di Cannes Film Festival pada tahun yang sama. Lalu ia muncul di banyak film seperti Way Back Home (2013) dan The Shameless (2015).

Pada tahun 2019, ia kembali dengan film menarik berjudul Ashfall, disusul dengan Beasts Clawing At Straws (2020) dan drama Lost (2021).

Tahun berikutnya, ia membintangi film Emergency Declaration (2022). Pada tahun 2023, ia kembali menjadi pemeran utama dalam drama Crash Course in Romance di tvN.
