Bagi pecinta musik DJ, nama David Guetta bukan lagi nama yang asing. Ia mulai menjadi DJ di sebuah klub di Paris dan berkembang menemukan musik housenya pada tahun 1987.

Iapun merilis Nation Rap pada tahun 1990, disusul kolabosari dengan vokalis Robert Owens yang berjudul Up & Away pada tahun 1994. Setelah itu, ia terus mengembangkan dirinya sebagai DJ di klub-klub bergengsi di Paris.

Di taun 2001, ia mulai mendirikan Gum Productions dengan single hit pertama berjudul Just Little More Love di tahun 2002. Album tersebut terjual hingga 300.000 eksemplar.

Album kedua dirilis pada tiga tahun kemudian dan menerima sertifikasi platinum dari industri rekaman Prancis bernama SNEP. Bahkan menjadi hit di puncak Billboard Hot 100 dan American Dance Chart.

Tak melulu sendiri, ia juga bekerja sama dengan penyanyi terkenal seperti Rihanna, Britney Spears, dan Lady Gaga.
